Rainy River District School Board Passes Budget

The Rainy-River District School Board has a balanced budget for next year but enrolment is dropping and so is the funding that goes along with it.
Chief Financial Officer Laura Mills says the Board will lose 116 students next year which equates to more than $1 million in lost revenue.
Class sizes will also be reduced to less than 19 students in Elementary Primary grades.
Mills adds the Board will once again have to take money from other areas to pay for transportation and they are still waiting for almost $1 million in funding for Special Education.
