4.8% Tax Hike in Red Lake

It took a lot of cutting but the Town of Red Lake has finally passed this years budget.
Taxes will be going up 4.8% with a small hike in the Industrial rate as well.
Water and sewer rates will increase next year while $200,000 has been trimmed form Operations.
The Capital budget was approved at $9.2 million with most of that earmarked for Water Treatment Plant upgrades.
Mayor Dunc Wilson says uncontrolled costs from outside agencies forced them to make significant cuts.
