It’s an exciting weekend as fishing season is back in full swing in northwestern Ontario.
Walleye, Northern Pike and Lake Trout are the fish to watch out for on opening weekend.
Gord Pyzer is the Co-Host of Real Fishing Radio and he says there are different techniques for catching different fish.
Pyzer says it’s a good idea to slow down when trying to snag a Walleye, but recommends being aggressive when trying to catch Northern Pike and Lake Trout.
He says Northern Pike fishing right now is “exceptional” and fishing as a whole is expected to be better than normal.
