Fishing Week #2 (Has Clips)

Whether you’re after Perch, Jack or Walleye, you won’t

need a license for National Fishing Week’s “Free Fishing

Weekend” July 8th-10th.

Spokesperson Mike Melnik says interest in the sport has

been on the decline for years, and hopes today’s youth will

carry on the past time.

Melnik suggests newbies go after small pan fish, and use

spinners or jigs with live or artificial bait.

Atikokan’s Quetico Provincial Park will be holding

fishing related hikes, family programs and a tackle share

library in conjunction with National Fishing Week.
