The Dryden Regional Health Centre is taking precautionary measures to protect those at the hospital.
The facility is seeing an increase of patients with an influenza-like illness.
To prevent the spread of the flu, several measures are now in place until further notice:
1. All people coming to the DRHC, both patients and visitors are asked to enter through the main hospital lobby doors.
2. Screening for flu-like symptoms will be in place, and all visitors are expected to wash their hands and wear masks.
3. The public is requested to limit their visiting of patients at the hospital.
4. We are asking that all patients and visitors with influenza-like illness to stay at home unless symptoms are severe enough to warrant medical attention.
Staff are apologizing in advance for any inconvenience during the challenging situation.
