Snow Replaced By Bitter Cold Wind

Backs are probably sore today as we continue to shovel out from Thursday’s snow storm.

Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services provides the following snowfall totals: (centimetres)

-Thunder Bay 28.1
-Atikokan 20.6
-Upsala 18.8
-Dryden Airport 7.3
-Ear Falls 4.8

The snow has been replaced by a pool of bitter cold air that will hang around until late tomorrow.

Laidlaw says raw north winds will push wind chills around the -30 mark.

Laidlaw notes another pool of warm air, carried with snow, will arrive late Saturday.

High temperatures after the cold spell will hover around minus 12 to 19.
