Fluoride Debate Coming to an End

Opponents and supporters of fluoridated drinking water are taking a
final chance to state their case before Monday’s By-election in Dryden.
The Executive Director of the Fluoride Action Network believes Dryden
residents are getting the message that the benefits of fluoridated
drinking water are being wildly exaggerated.
Dr. Paul Connett says the harm of the chemical has been underestimated.
Dr. Peter Cooney, the Dental Consultant for the Northwestern Health
Unit says a number of organizations support fluoridated drinking water.
Cooney says the World Health Organization as well as Canadian and
American Dental and Medical Associations all say fluoride prevents tooth
decay and is healthy.
