A rally was held last night at Ryerson University in support of six
jailed Northwestern Ontario aboriginal leaders.
Spokesperson Anna Baggio says the group is looking for the immediate
release of the K-I leaders.
They were recently sentenced to six months in jail for civil contempt
for failing to obey a court order allowing an exploration company access to
land near Big Trout Lake First Nation.
Baggio says the rally was also to call for a balanced approach to
mining.
