The political turmoil in Ottawa could mean the cancellation of meetings scheduled at the end of this month between the federal government caucus and the Assembly of First Nations.

AFN national chief, Phil Fontaine was in Kenora recently, and says he’s concerned aboriginal issues are boing to fall off the table if the Martin Government loses this weeks budget vote.

Fontaine says he wants to discuss a number of things with the federal cabinet, including natural resource sharing agreements, and a deal for residential school survivors.
