The Dryden-area ‘Food Box’ program may be expanded following the release of what’s being called an exciting study on local food development.
The report calls for a new Locavore Co-Operative to increase local food variety and production as well as advocate for the buying and eating of locally produced food.
The study also recommends a governance structure consisting of consumers and producers.
Officials say the study identifies realistic goals and note that they are already on track for expansion this season.
