The Premier is following through on a promise to get more doctors into Northern Ontario.
Dryden Regional Health Centre CEO Andrew Skeene is applauding the plan to fast-track applications for foreign-trained doctors.
Skeene says the province has paved the way for hospitals to try and ease shortages.
He says it will be up to regional hospitals such as his to try and find ways in attracting out of country physicians.
The plan does have a catch however, foreign doctors working in other jobs in the province will have to return to medical school.
