8 hectares of land in Emo, is just one of the 17
locations in Northwestern Ontario being planted with trees
in order to cut down on green house gas emissions.
The federal government’s forest 20/20 program is in it’s
last year, and spokesperson Rod Smith says it’s making a
big difference in reducing air pollution.

Over 1200 hectares of private land across the province
will have 2 million trees planted on it by the end of this
year.
25 percent of those sites are in Northern Ontario.
