2 million trees will be planted on 1200 hectares of
private land in Ontario as part of the Federal Government’s
green house gas cutting program.
This is the last year for the forest 20/20 initiative,
and Natural Resources Canada Spokesperson Rod Smith says a
number of native trees will be used in plantations.

There are 17 Forest 20/20 plantations in Northwestern
Ontario, their spread between Kenora, Dryden and Fort
Frances.
8 hectares of land in EMO will soon have 16-thousand
trees planted this spring, once the land is less saturated.
