Forest Crisis Drags On

The province’s largest union of forestry workers says there is “growing
frustration and anger” among its workers in Northwestern Ontario.
The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union says public
hearings are needed into what it calls an economic crisis.
The Union says Premier Dalton McGuinty is ignoring its recommendations
to deal with the sustainability of the industry.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton has also stressed a need for
hearings to grab the province’s attention.
