Another 6-new forest fires have been reported in Northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says that now brings the number of active fires in the region to 10.
While there were no new blazes reported in the Kenora District, an MNR bird dog airplane and a water bomber were dispatched to a three hectare wild fire in Manitoba, burning about six kilometers from the Ontario border.
The MNR says recent patrols of the area have shown a large number of residents burning during day time hours, which is not allowed under current fire regulations.
