The Ministry of Natural Resources are bracing for a busy weekend, as Northwestern Ontario continues to enjoy warm conditions.
The fire hazard is extreme across much of the region.
The MNR says lack of rain, combined with soaring temperatures has left forests across the region dry.
MNR officials are also concerned about the threat of thunderstorms this weekend.
41 new fires sparked yesterday.
Northwest crews are expected to arrive this weekend from Saskatchewan and Alberta to help fight any new outbreaks.
