Forest Fire Hazard Now At Extreme

The forest fire hazard remains at extreme across northwestern Ontario.

There were three new forest fires reported in the region on Monday.

Two are still listed as out of control.

One is a four hectare blaze in the Fort Frances District near Silvertip Lake.

The other is just 0.5-hectares in size and is burning near the Pikangikum First Nation.

A small fire in the Nipigon District was quickly extinguished.
