The chiefs of 28 First Nation communities in the region will be gathering near Kenora Tuesday for the start of the annual Treaty Three Spring Assembly.
The conference is taking place on the Washagamis Bay First Nation and runs until Thursday.
One of the reports to be presented to the leadership today, is a study by Cancer Care Ontario about local cancer rates.
The report confirms that the rates of the disease in Treaty #3 communities is high compared to other people in Ontario
