The forest fire situation could heat up in northwestern Ontario over the next few days.
Very warm, dry conditions are expected up until the weekend.
Right now there is just one active blaze, it’s a small 0.2 hectare fire on Lake of the Woods.
It continues to smolder but is currently just being observed.
The hazard is expected to remain in the moderate to high range over the next couple of days.
