A relatively quiet weekend on the Forest Fire front in Northwestern Ontario.
Last weeks rain and cooler temperatures allowed crews to mount a serious attack on Sioux Lookout Fire #48, which showed little sign of growth from the 31,000 hectares it reached early in the week.
MNR Information Officer Mitch Miller says the blaze has been contained.
However, conditions are warming and drying which could mean a return to a more active status over the next few days.
