Ontario’s forest industry is asking the province to avoid policies that lead to added costs to area mills.
Ainsworth’s Rick Ksiezapoiski says its important for mill’s like theirs in Barwick remain competitive with other low-cost operations elsewhere.
He says any changes in taxes, stumpage or forest policy can impact their operations.
Ainsworth would also like existing hydro rebate programs to become permanent.
