Forest Products Association Encouraging Aboriginal Youth To Get Involved In Forestry

The Forest Products Association of Canada is expanding its awards program for aboriginal youth.

This year, the organization is able to offer two awards worth $2,500 each, thanks to a new partnership with the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers.

The program is an effort to encourage more aboriginal young adults to consider a career in the forest sector.

Nominations are open until October, and are targeted at those enrolled in a forestry-based post-secondary program.
