A final report from the Special Advisory Council on Forestry is expected to be handed to the Minister of Natural Resources this week.
But don’t expect any announcements of assistance for the forest industry right away.
David Ramsay attended the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association convention in Kenora over the weekend and says he wants to review the report before making any decisions.

Ramsay says he understands there is a sense of urgency for a number of forest companies, and promises the government will be coming out with a plan for the industry in the months ahead.
