The country’s highest civilian honour is being bestowed on the former president of Confederation College.
Pat Lang will receive the Order of Canada Friday morning at a special ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
Lang admits she cried when she found out that she would be honoured.
She says it was an absolute privilege to work in the public sector and she enjoyed every single moment of it.
Lang adds every day that she went to work she knew she had the privilege of changing lives through learning and that’s something she will never forget.
