Former Ice Dogs Goalie Commits To University Of New England

A former member of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs is headed south of the border.

Goaltender Tate Sproxton has committed to the University of New England.

Sproxton played this season with the Grand Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The 20-year-old posted a 8-17-2 record in 31-games with the Storm, who failed to make the playoffs.

Sproxton recorded a shutout in final junior game.

The University of New England play in the NEHC and finished in 4th place last year.
