Former Ignace Resident Out With New Book

Alice Munro has become the first Canadian woman and first Canadian-based writer to win a Nobel Prize for literature.
Vanessa Ricci-Thode, a native of Ignace, is now hoping to follow in her footsteps.
She is returning home to promote her first published book ‘Dragon Whisperer’.
The fantasy book features fire breathing dragons, a young woman with immune powers and an upset spouse.
Ricci-Thode says she’s been writing for a very long time and notes she has other projects on the go.
Ricci-Thode notes the response to her book has been positive.
She will be in Thunder Bay Friday at Chapters from 1-3.
The Ignace book signing and meet-and-greet is Saturday at the North Woods Inn from 2 until 4.
