Another high profile politician paid a visit to the Kenora riding over the weekend.
Former Prime Minister Paul Martin toured the White Dog First Nation and held a party rally with Liberal Incumbent Roger Valley.
Martin says the region needs someone who is going to voice their concerns and adds Valley has represented the riding well.
Martin says Valley works hard for the region and has brought more attention to the forest industry, FedNor funding and the needs of First Nations.
He adds the Conservative Government has failed to help area first nations and the crippled forest industry.
