With candidates for the Progressive Conservative leadership rolling through Northwestern Ontario, the question arises as to when the next provincial election will be held.
Fort Frances Mayor Glen Witherspoon, who is currently the president of the Kenora-Rainy River PC Riding Association, says he is considering challenging Howard Hampton in the riding whenever the next provincial vote is held.
Witherspoon feels the NDP is having too many problems and Hampton has a negative approach when it comes to politics.
Meantime, Tory leadership hopeful Ernie Eves believes a provincial election is at least 15 months away.
