National exposure for Dryden and its physician recruitment efforts.
The visit from the Globe and Mail resulted in an in depth article on page 3 of the National paper featuring the Dr. Cary Pettinger and the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation.
Physician Recruiter Chuck Schmitt says you can’t buy that exposure.
The article outlines the creative means being used to attract physicians to the community.
Meantime, the Foundation has secured an interest free loan of $350,000 to establish a Northern Ontario School of Medicine Bursary.
Chuck Schmitt says they are asking the City to consider several options to pay back the annoymous donor, stressing the money will be matched by the Province and will go a long way to help attract physicians to the community.
He notes the pool of money could realistically generate a $28,000r yearly bursary for physicians interested in relocating to Dryden or home-grown physicians.
