The Ontario government and the Association of Management, Administrative and Professional Crown Employees of Ontario have ratified a new 4-year collective agreement.
The deal includes a wage freeze in the first 2-years and a 1.4% wage increase in each of the third and fourth years.
That follows a 2-year deal that included no wage increases.
The agreement also includes no new funding for compensation increases.
The previous collective agreement with the Association expired on March 31st.
The government says terms of the agreement fall under their fiscal plan.
One key change is the elimination of exit pay, which will reduce future costs and save taxpayers roughly 55-million dollars a year.
