Opposition To Ring Of Fire Announcement

The NDP critic for Northern Development and Mines isn’t impressed with the province’s latest move on forming a Ring of Fire Development Corporation.
Michael Mantha says the announcement shows the Liberal government is no further ahead now than it was 5-years ago.
Mantha adds they have provided no details on the progress of the Development Corporation or how it will function.
He notes the government has just come up with four civil servants sitting on a board and more empty promises.
Mantha stresses the government isn’t able to manage this file and notes good paying jobs are still not coming to fruition in northern Ontario.
