FPAC Applauds Free Trade Agreement

The Forest Products Association of Canada is welcoming a free trade deal between Canada and the European Union.
One of the key components of the pact is the elimination of quotas and tariffs on wood based panels.
Spokesperson Isabelle Deschenes says the prosperity of the forest industry relies on strong exports.
Deschenes says 4% of their product goes to the E-U making Europe our 4th largest export market.
She says the forest industry is aiming to increase its revenues by $20 billion through new markets and new innovations.
As a result of the agreement, Canada will now be able to freely deal with some big players such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and France.
