Fraser Institute Questioning Supreme Court Decisions

A report from the Fraser Institute says recent Supreme Court decisions on aboriginal rights actually impede, rather than help, First Nations. Author Tom Flanagan says the rulings are positive in that they recognize aboriginal people’s long-standing ownership claims of land. But he says the decisions have also put in place new property rights First Nations will find difficult to implement.
