Elementary Schools in Northwestern Ontario are being
raked over the coals by a right wing think tank.
The Fraser Institute recently released its 2008 report
card on both separate and public schools.
Director of School Performance Studies Peter Cowley says
most of the schools in the region didn’t score high marks.

In Kenora the highest marks were given to the Catholic
Schools St. Louis and Ste. Marguerite Bourgeois with
separate scores of 8.4 and 7.3 out of 10.
Valleyview School scored 7.2, while Evergreen, King
George, Lakewood and Our Lady of the Valley received less
than stellar marks.
The marks are based on standardized test results from
the Education, Quality and Accountability Office.
