Area Elementary Schools are in the middle of the pack in Ontario when
it comes to reading, writing and math skills.
The Fraser Institute has released its 2005 rankings of about 2,800
Elementary Schools.
Co-Author Peter Cowley says the most disturbing rating was a 0.1
out of 10 at Sioux Mountain Public School in Sioux Lookout.

Lakewood Public School in Kenora is tops in the Region with an 8.4.
The Golden Learning Centre in Balmertwon was high at 6.9, while
Riverview School was the best in Dryden with a 6.6.
