The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is going ahead with a french immersion program this September at Dryden’s New Prospect School.
It comes after a survey of local resident’s interest in beginning a full day early learning kindergarten french immersion program.
Superintendent of Education Sean Monteith says 82 percent of people who responded to their survey said they would like to see the french program.
The School Board is accepting registrations for the french program at New Prospect all year long.
