The Provincial Government is going to be receiving
another report on the dying forest industry in Northern
Ontario.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives authored the
document, that calls for reforms to forestry and hydro
legislation.
CCPA Resource Policy Analyst Ben Parfitt says lower
electricty prices are key.

Parfitt adds municipalities and first nations should be
able to reap the benefits of public forests stumpage fees.
The revenue generated would be used for diversifying the
community and economic development.
