The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives has released
a report dealing with the crippled forest industry in
Northern Ontario.
A copy of the report has been sent to the McGuinty
Government, and CCPA Resource Policy Analyst Ben Parfitt
believes it will curb band aid solutions from Queen’s Park.

The report also calls for a new government program that
would require forests to be subject to auction before they
are logged.
Parfit adds lower electricity prices are also key to
helping save the forest industry.
