The usually quiet Town of Ear Falls is on edge, thanks to a fugitive on the loose.
Its Day 4 in the intensive manhunt for a suspect involved in the deliberate ramming of 2 OPP cruisers in Vermilion Bay and Ear Falls Monday morning.
Police have set up road blocks in and around the community, while tracking dogs and air support comb the area.
Mayor Geoff McClain says they are used to a detachment compliament of 6 officers and 2 cruisers, now OPP from across the Northwest are in Town.
McClain says it makes you a bit nervous but the influx of officers adds reassurance.
McClain adds local residents should ensure their vehicles and homes are locked and to report any suspicious activity.
Pictures of the suspect, who is believed to be from British Columbia, are being handed out to the public.
