Funding Boost For First Nations Police

The Federal government is kicking in more money for First Nations policing.

More than $290-million will be spent over the next five years.

The money will be allocated towards detachment upgrades as well officer safety initiatives, the purchase of new equipment and salaries.

Funds will also be used for Indigenous police services to hire more officers.
