Hoshizaki House And Unifor Unite In Fight Against Violence Against Women

Dryden area residents are being asked to gather on December 6th to remember the victims of the Montreal Massacre.

In 1989, 14-female engineering students were murdered while attending school in Montreal.

Unifor Local 324 spokesperson Carol Joliquer and Stacy Lamb of the Hoshizaki House were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Friday to announce the ‘Walk for the Montreal Massacre and Violence Against Women’.

It’s being held at the St. Luke’s Anglican Church at 5:30pm.

The walk and vigil is meant to remember the victims of the Quebec tragedy and raise awareness of women’s rights.
