Funding For Chukuni Development Corporation

Ottawa is supporting economic development in the Red Lake and Ear Falls area.
Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault says the Chukuni Community Future Development Corporation will get 1.3-million dollars over three years to stabalize its economic development.
The funding will go towards service delievery and administration, as well as investment activities in the two communities.
Nault says the Federal Government plans to provide more money for economic development corporations across the region in the near future.
Last year, Chukuni invested just over one million dollars resulting in the creation of 27-new jobs for the Red Lake area.
