Funding for Homeless Shelters

The Kenora District Services Board has approved funding for 3-homelessness programs.
The Red Lake Homesless Shelter will receive $40,000 for operations.
The Wii-Chii-Way Gamik Centre will see $35,000 and the Kenora Fellowship Centre $15,000.
However, the KDSB is concerned that the facilities in Sioux Lookout and Kenora haven’t met previous service agreements and note the funds may be pulled if they don’t comply.
