Common Voice Northwest says Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne might be mistaken about a funding announcement she made last week.
Speaking in Kenora, Wynne suggested there was over $5-million to help subsidize inter-community bus service in northwestern Ontario.
Common Voice Executive Director Iain Angus says he’s asked Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle for clarification.
Before the announcement, Angus says Gravelle told him that there was no subsidy dollars for this region.
Angus says back in January the province had promised funding for subsidized bus service for 20-communities, but Wawa and Hearst were as far as the money was going.
