Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says the Federal government is shortchanging northern First Nations when it comes to funding for housing.
Speaking in Dryden, Day said there is a $2-billion shortfall in housing in the Ontario region alone.
He notes the recent budget only saw an increase of $600-million.
Day stresses that is clearly not where they need to be, noting the outstanding issue is plaguing Indigenous communities.
