Funding To Help Cancer Patients In Sioux Lookout

The Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre is receiving funding from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.

A grant for almost $6,800 will go towards the purchase of an emergency shower in the Chemotherapy Preparation Anteroom.

Foundation Spokesperson Heather Vita says the shower will remove any medication that may have come onto them as a safety measure.

Vita says it’s important for cancer patients to feel comfortable close to home.
