The Committee looking at the future of Wabigoon, Pinewood and Riverview
Schools has a difficult decision to make.
At Wednesday’s public meeting in Wabigoon, everyone in attendance made
a strong statement that they don’t want their community school to close.
Parent Cheryl Parenteau made this plea.

Others in attendance asked for a new larger school in Wabigoon, so it
could attract kids from outside the community.
Wednesday was the final planned public meeting and the general
consensus is that no one want’s to see the amalgamation of all 3 into a
so-called “Super-school”.
