Don’t expect to see a new Arena to be built in Dryden anytime soon.
In a letter from Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard congratulating the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee for reaching the $150,000 fundraising mark, Remillard assures the group that the City has no plans to pursue a new facility.
Remillard states they believe strongly that the current structure is in good shape and with preventative maintenance will last for many years.
He notes the next step is for City staff and DREAM to discuss design and costing options on the first vision of additional changerooms.
Remillard says an Engineer who lived in Dryden for years and has assisted with over 200 Arena projects in North America has expressed interest in helping.
