Gas Tax Funding

Regional communities now know how much they will get from gas tax
revenues.
The City of Dryden is welcoming $1.3-million to spend on
infrastructure upgrades, while Sioux Lookout will get nearly $867,000.
Red Lake will receive $687,000, Ignace $277,000, Ear Falls $186,000 and Machin $185,000.
Originally, Municipalities without public transit were left out of
the funding, however lobbying efforts convinced the Feds to change the
formula.
