The Cities Gateway Entrance project has suffered a setback.
The engineering firm hired by the City underestimated the cost of all
of the work by half a million dollars.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says they have been forced to
scale back some of the work.
Johns says the project now consists of a granite sign near 7-11, a
viewing node and sidewalk near the Chalet Inn and some lane widening.
He says they were planning to improve the islands, install
crosswalks and extend the sidewalk system.
